Title 42 › Chapter CHAPTER 8— - LOW-INCOME HOUSING › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER II–B— - HOME RULE FLEXIBLE GRANT DEMONSTRATION › § 1437bbb–7
Participating jurisdictions must keep whatever records the Secretary requires to show how much money they got under the program, how they spent it, that they followed the program rules, and to let their performance be checked. Each year they must send the Secretary a report, in the form and by the deadline the Secretary sets, showing how funds were used, any other information the Secretary asks for, and a description and analysis of how the assisted activities are meeting the program’s goals. The Secretary and the Comptroller General, or their authorized representatives, may audit and examine any books, documents, papers, or records about the program. The Secretary will monitor performance using the program’s standards and, not later than 60 days after the conclusion of the second year of the demonstration, must give Congress an interim report on the program’s status and each jurisdiction’s progress.
