§15061 Grant authority

Summary

Using money authorized by section 15066(a)(1), the Secretary must give 5-year grants to organizations in each State that are named University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service so they can do the work listed in section 15063(a). With the same authorized funds and amounts set aside under section 15066(a)(2), the Secretary must also make grants to Centers to carry out the work in section 15063(b). Using funds from section 15066(a)(1) set aside under section 15066(a)(3), or from amounts set aside under section 15083 when appropriate, the Secretary must make one or more cooperative agreements or contracts to provide the technical assistance in section 15063(c).
