Title 42 › Chapter CHAPTER 157— - QUALITY, AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE FOR ALL AMERICANS › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER VI— - MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS › § 18116
Stops discrimination in health programs or activities that get federal money or are run by a federal agency. People cannot be kept out, denied benefits, or treated unfairly for reasons covered by Title VI, Title IX, the Age Discrimination Act, or section 794 of Title 29. Federal help includes loans, subsidies, or insurance contracts. The same enforcement rules and remedies from those laws apply. Does not take away or cut down rights or remedies under Title VI, VII, IX, section 794, or the Age Discrimination Act, and it does not override state laws that give more protection. The Secretary can make rules to carry this out.
