Federal prosecutors, U.S. marshals and deputy marshals, magistrate judges appointed by district and territorial courts who can arrest or hold people, and any other officers given special power by the President must, paid for by the U.S. government, bring charges against anyone who breaks section 1990 or sections 5506 to 5516 and 5518 to 5532 of the Revised Statutes. They must also have those people arrested and held in jail or released on bail so they can be tried in the United States court or territorial court that handles the offense.
