The Secretary of Health and Human Services, through the head of HRSA, can give grants, contracts, or cooperative agreements to eligible organizations to develop, test, and share research, demonstration projects, and model training for things like cultural competency, prevention, public health skills, reducing health disparities, and working with people with disabilities for health schools and continuing education. These awards follow the rules in section 293e. The Secretary must work with the groups in section 293e(b) and coordinate with curricula and projects from section 293e, and model curricula must be shared and reviewed as described in section 293e(c). Money was to be provided as needed for each fiscal year 2010 through 2015.
