Title 42 › Chapter CHAPTER 6A— - PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER XXVI— - NATIONAL ALL-HAZARDS PREPAREDNESS FOR PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCIES › Part Part B— - All-Hazards Emergency Preparedness and Response › § 300hh–10e
The Secretary must coordinate related advisory work and try to cut down on extra or repeat reports, meetings, and recommendations. Members of the advisory committees, or their designees, must meet once a year to coordinate any similar or overlapping recommendations for children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities in public health emergencies. An in-person coordination meeting does not count as other required in-person meetings. Through the employee named under section 300hh–16, the Secretary must align preparedness and response programs that address those groups’ similar needs and challenges. Each year the Secretary must tell the congressional committees in charge what was done and give a short summary of the coordination.
