§4032 Treatment of swimming pool enclosures outside of hurricane season

Title 42 › Chapter CHAPTER 50— - NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - THE NATIONAL FLOOD INSURANCE PROGRAM › § 4032

Summary

Even if other laws say different things, certain openings or removable walls under raised non‑single‑family buildings in coastal areas the Administrator identifies are allowed when that under‑floor space is used only as a swimming pool from November 30 to June 1. In areas shown as Zone V on flood maps, breakaway walls that do not support the building are allowed. In areas shown as Zone A, openings in those walls are allowed. This does not change who can get, or what is covered by, the standard flood insurance policy under the National Flood Insurance Program.
