Congress allows money to be set aside for certain loan programs. For fiscal years 1981 and 1982, up to $10,000,000 each year may be used for loans under section 402 of the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978; these amounts are in addition to what that Act already allows and stay available until spent. For fiscal years 1981 and 1982, up to $100,000,000 each year may be used for loans under section 403 of that Act, and those funds also remain available until spent. For fiscal year 1981, up to $10,000,000 may be used to carry out section 7374, which covers energy self-sufficiency initiatives.
