Act Apr. 24, 1944, ch. 177, § 4, 58 Stat. 215, provided that: “
section 2237 and
2240 of the Revised Statutes and the act of May 21, 1928 (45 Stat. 684; 43 U.S.C., sec. 80), as amended [
section 80 and
80a of this title], are hereby repealed, and all other provisions of law inconsistent with this Act [See
note above] are repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.” Extension to AlaskaAct Apr. 24, 1944, ch. 177, § 5, 58 Stat. 215, provided that the provisions of such Act [see
note above] would not extend to the territory of Alaska.
