Title 43 › Chapter CHAPTER 20— - RESERVATIONS AND GRANTS TO STATES FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES › § 853
Makes the rules in sections 851 and 852 apply to Utah. Utah’s school land grant, including sections 2 and 32 in each township, must be managed and adjusted under those rules, even if the Act admitting Utah on July 16, 1894 said otherwise. Whenever those rules mention "sections 16 and 36" or similar phrases, they instead mean "sections 2, 16, 32, and 36"; "sixteenth and thirty-sixth sections" becomes "second, sixteenth, thirty-second, and thirty-sixth sections"; "sections 16 or 36" becomes "sections 2, 16, 32, or 36"; and "two sections" becomes "four sections."
