Title 45 › Chapter CHAPTER 18— - MILWAUKEE RAILROAD RESTRUCTURING › § 920
The Milwaukee Railroad must keep and run its whole rail system the way it was on October 15, 1979. It must keep at least the same regular level of service from that date and may not stop or block traffic or abandon any part of the system, except for acts of God or safety reasons. These rules stay in place until one of four things happens: an employee or employee-shipper ownership plan is not filed with the Interstate Commerce Commission by the deadline in section 905(a); the Commission finds the plan not workable or does not act within 30 days; the bankruptcy court finds the plan not fair and equitable to the railroad’s estate; or the plan is not implemented by the deadline in section 905(c).
