Title 47 › Chapter CHAPTER 5— - WIRE OR RADIO COMMUNICATION › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER IV— - PROCEDURAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS › § 412
The Commission must keep on file copies of carriers’ price lists, classifications, contracts, agreements, arrangements, and the statistics from their reports. These public records are accepted as official evidence in Commission investigations and in court, and certified copies with the secretary’s seal are treated like originals. The Commission can keep secret foreign wire or radio contracts if making them public would hurt U.S. companies’ ability to compete.
