Summary

The Secretary or the Board can require carriers and brokers to use specific record forms. That can cover things like how traffic moves and records of money received and spent. They can also set how long operating, accounting, and financial records must be kept. The Secretary or the Board, or an employee they pick, may, after showing ID and either in person or by written request, inspect a carrier’s or broker’s land, buildings, and equipment. They can also inspect and copy records of carriers, brokers, associations, or related companies when those records are relevant to the carrier.
