Summary

Amtrak must keep internal controls that fairly assign its costs, revenues, and other payments between the Northeast Corridor and the National Network, including appropriate shares of common and fixed costs. Amtrak may make agreements with one or more States under section 209 (49 U.S.C. 24101 note). For this rule, "Northeast Corridor" means the main line between Boston, Massachusetts, and the District of Columbia and the facilities and services used to operate and maintain that line, despite section 24102.
