Title 5 › Part PART III— - EMPLOYEES › Subpart Subpart G— - Insurance and Annuities › Chapter CHAPTER 89A— - ENHANCED DENTAL BENEFITS › § 8954
Office may set minimum standards for enhanced dental plans and the companies offering them. Contracts can offer multiple benefit levels to eligible people. Plans can cover 9 dental care areas: diagnostic, preventive, emergency, restorative, oral/maxillofacial surgery, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, and orthodontics. Companies must serve the Office's required area and cover dentally underserved areas. If someone has both a chapter 89 health plan and a plan here, the chapter 89 plan pays first.
