Title 5 › Part PART III— - EMPLOYEES › Subpart Subpart G— - Insurance and Annuities › Chapter CHAPTER 89B— - ENHANCED VISION BENEFITS › § 8984
The Office must set basic rules for enhanced vision plans and the companies that sell them. Contracts can offer more than one level of benefits to all eligible people. Plans may cover three types of benefits: diagnostic (including refractive), preventive, and eyewear. Approved contracts must serve the area the Office requires and must include visually underserved places. If a person has vision coverage under a health benefits plan under chapter 89 and also under a plan here, the chapter 89 plan pays first.
