Title 7 › Chapter CHAPTER 35— - AGRICULTURAL ADJUSTMENT ACT OF 1938 › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER II— - LOANS, PARITY PAYMENTS, CONSUMER SAFEGUARDS, MARKETING QUOTAS, AND MARKETING CERTIFICATES › Part Part D— - Wheat Marketing Allocation › § 1379a
Regulate the price of wheat used for food at home and for export so farmers can get fair returns. Wheat is a basic food and a major U.S. export, and most sales cross state lines or go abroad. Very low prices hurt farmers’ ability to buy nonfarm goods and leave them worse off than others. Without Federal help, farmers cannot prevent prices from falling to disastrous levels.
