Gives plain meanings for key words used in this chapter. Agricultural products does not include cotton, tobacco, or products made from them. Association of producers means a group of agricultural producers that work together on marketing, bargaining, shipping, or processing, and also includes organizations made up only of producers that promote their common interests. Handler means someone who buys from producers to sell or process, or who grades, packs, stores, handles, processes, makes contracts about, or acts as an agent or broker for those activities; it does not include a person who only provides custom feeding services unless they are a packer. Producer means a person who grows or raises farm products, such as a farmer, planter, rancher, dairyman, or fruit, vegetable, or nut grower.
