§255 Jurisdiction and arbitration

Summary

Only United States district courts can hear cases brought under this chapter, no matter how much money is at stake or where the parties live. This chapter does not stop enforcing arbitration agreements that are valid under chapter 1 of title 9.

Title 7, §255

(a)A district court of the United States shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any action brought under this chapter without regard to the amount in controversy or the citizenship of the parties.
(b)Nothing in this chapter prevents the enforceability of an agreement to arbitrate that would otherwise be enforceable under chapter 1 of title 9.
