Title 7 › Chapter CHAPTER 19— - COTTON STATISTICS AND ESTIMATES › § 471
The Secretary of Agriculture must each year collect and publish, on dates he announces, estimates of the grades and staple length of cotton carry-over on hand on August 1 in warehouses and similar places across the continental United States. After that, he must publish estimates for the current crop at times he chooses, but at least three estimates per crop. Each report must show separately the cotton that can be tendered under the U.S. Cotton Futures Act and the cotton that cannot.
