Title 7 › Chapter CHAPTER 21— - TOBACCO STATISTICS › § 503
Certain people and businesses — dealers, manufacturers, quasi-manufacturers, growers’ cooperative associations, warehousemen, brokers, holders, and owners (not the original grower and except those excluded under section 501) — must send a complete and accurate report of how much leaf tobacco they have. The reports must follow the Secretary of Agriculture’s form and be filed within fifteen days after January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1. Anyone required to report, or their officers, agents, or employees, who refuses, purposely fails to give the information, or gives false or misleading answers is guilty of a misdemeanor and, if convicted, can be fined $300–$1,000, jailed up to one year, or both.
