Gives definitions for the words used in the chapter about limes. Board is the Lime Board set up under section 6204(b). Consumer information is public-facing information about using, nutrition, and care of limes. Handle means to sell, buy, or package limes. Handler is a person whose business is handling limes. Importer is a person who brings limes into the United States. Lime refers to the fresh-market fruit from a citrus latifolia tree. Marketing means selling or otherwise moving limes in trade. Order is a lime research, promotion, and consumer information order issued by the Secretary under section 6203(a). Person covers individuals and business entities like partnerships, corporations, associations, or cooperatives. Producer is someone who grows limes in the United States to sell. Producer-handler is someone who both produces and handles limes. Promotion means actions (including paid ads) to present limes positively to increase sales. Research means studies about lime use or nutrition to improve their image, desirability, marketability, or quality. Secretary means the Secretary of Agriculture. State and United States each mean the 50 States, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
