Order: the kiwifruit research, promotion, and consumer information order issued by the Secretary of Agriculture. Person: any individual, business, cooperative, or other legal entity. Processing: changing the fruit’s form (for example, canning, fermenting, extracting, grinding) to prepare it for market. Producer: someone who grows kiwifruit in the United States for sale. Promotion: actions, including paid ads, to make kiwifruit more appealing and boost sales. Research: studies on use, nutrition, or marketing to improve kiwifruit’s appeal or quality. Secretary: the Secretary of Agriculture. United States: the 50 States, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
