The IHS Office of Information Technology will provide IT and Health IT services to Indian Health Service, Tribal, and Urban Indian Health Programs (I/T/U), including support for the Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS), the Electronic Health Record (EHR), and the National Patient Information Reporting System (NPIRS). The OIT also furnishes IHS-wide video conferencing solutions and services, including telehealth support.
Rural Telecom Cost Offsets via RHC
The Division of Program Management and Budget will provide IHS Healthcare Connect Fund Services under the Rural Health Care Program (RHC) administered by USAC to offset the high cost of rural telecommunication services. The Cybersecurity Privacy Branch will coordinate privacy impact assessments and maintain IT system PIAs.
OMS Manages Grants and Self-Governance Support
The Office of Management Services will advise the IHS Director and provide Agency-wide guidance and support for grants management, including grants added to self-governance compacts, along with acquisitions, property, FOIA, and related administrative programs. OMS will also formulate and oversee IHS policy and delegations of authority for these administrative functions.
