Back in 2006, DHS made some rule changes about certain arriving aliens applying to become permanent residents but accidentally missed fixing a small part of the paperwork rules. This correction fixes that little mistake without changing any real rules or costs. It takes effect on January 16, 2025, so everything’s now neat and tidy in the official rulebook.
