SGS Adds Six International Sites
OSHA expanded SGS North America, Inc.'s Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) scope to add six test sites, effective January 22, 2025. The newly recognized sites are in Gunpo-si, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea; two sites in New Taipei City, Taiwan; Puchheim, Germany; Brussels, Belgium; and Yokohama, Japan. Employers may use products tested and approved at these SGS sites to meet OSHA standards that require third-party testing and certification.
ASME A17.5 Added for SGS Testing
OSHA added the ASME A17.5 test standard ("Elevator and Escalator Electrical Equipment") to SGS's NRTL scope of recognition, effective January 22, 2025. Where OSHA standards require third-party testing and certification for equipment covered by ASME A17.5, SGS-recognized sites may perform that testing and certify those products.
