Mississippi SNAP match for Lifeline/ACP

Starting March 27, 2025, and running for 18 months, the FCC and USAC will share applicants' and subscribers' last four Social Security digits, date of birth, and first or last name with the Mississippi Department of Human Services to check whether the person is enrolled in SNAP. Mississippi DHS will respond with a 'yes' or 'no' about SNAP enrollment to verify eligibility for Lifeline and the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). This matching affects people who have applied for or receive Lifeline/ACP, household members who enable eligibility, and minors whose status qualifies a parent or guardian.
