Instrument flight procedures changed at listed airports

The FAA amends, suspends, or removes Standard Instrument Approach Procedures (SIAPs), Takeoff Minimums, and Obstacle Departure Procedures (ODPs) for certain airports effective March 4, 2025. The rule lists specific procedures with an AIRAC date of March 20, 2025 (for example: Cobb County Intl/McCollum Field — RNAV (GPS) RWY 27, Amdt 5 and VOR/DME RWY 9, Amdt 2B; Bear Lake County — RNAV (GPS) RWY 28, Amdt 1 and RWY 10, Amdt 1).

Emergency FDC NOTAMs made permanent quickly

All SIAP amendments in this rule were previously issued by the FAA as FDC NOTAMs as emergency actions (FDC dates include 1/24/2025 and 1/29/2025) and are made effective in less than 30 days for safety and timeliness. The amendments become effective on the specific dates/times shown (effective at 0901 UTC on the dates specified).

SIAPs and procedures available online free

All SIAPs and Takeoff Minimums and ODPs covered by this amendment are available online free of charge via the National Flight Data Center (register at nfdc.faa.gov). Individual copies may also be obtained from the FAA Air Traffic Organization Service Area for the affected airport.

FAA says minimal economic impact on small entities

The FAA determined this amendment involves routine technical regulations and certified that it is not a "significant regulatory action" and will not have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities under the Regulatory Flexibility Act. The FAA states the anticipated impact is minimal.
