AD Applicability Expanded to All EMB-505s
If you own or operate an Embraer Model EMB-505 airplane, the FAA proposes to expand Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2023-22-11 so it applies to all EMB-505 airplanes. The AD addresses the clutch retaining bolt and washer of the aileron autopilot servo mount and would require actions on every EMB-505 instead of only some airplanes.
Optional One-Time Fix Ends Repetitive Replacements
The proposed AD would offer an optional terminating action that, if done, stops the need for repetitive replacement of the clutch retaining bolt and washer on the aileron autopilot servo mount. If you choose this one-time option, you would no longer have to perform the repeated replacements required by the earlier AD.
New Initial Replacement Requirement for Some Planes
For certain EMB-505 airplanes, the FAA proposes an extra requirement for the initial replacement of the clutch retaining bolt and washer on the aileron autopilot servo mount. If your airplane is one of those certain airplanes, you would need to follow that additional initial replacement step when complying with the AD.
