NYSE American Updates Fees for Colocation Connections
Published Date: 4/4/2025
Notice
Summary
NYSE American is updating its Connectivity Fee Schedule to change which third-party systems and data feeds users can connect to. This affects traders and firms using the Exchange’s colocation services, possibly changing their access options and fees. The new rules took effect right after filing on March 25, 2025, so users should check the updated list to stay in the game.
Analyzed Economic Effects
4 provisions identified: 4 benefits, 0 costs, 0 mixed.
Third-Party Systems List Updated
If you use NYSE American colocation services, the Exchange changed the list of third‑party execution systems you can connect to. The rule deletes systems that no User connects to (for example, Americas Trading Group (ATG), Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE), Credit Suisse, Euronext Optiq Unicast entries, and OneChicago) and consolidates or renames others (e.g., Cboe exchanges combined as “Cboe US,” MIAX and MIAX Pearl combined as “MIAX,” Nasdaq and Nasdaq ISE combined as “Nasdaq US Stock Market,” and name changes like BM&F Bovespa to B3 Bovespa).
Third-Party Data Feeds List and Fees Clarified
If you pay for feed connectivity at the Mahwah data center, NYSE American updated the list of third‑party data feeds and removed feeds that no User connects to (for example: Canadian Securities Exchange feed, several Euronext Optiq feeds, MSCI 5 Mb and 25 Mb, OneChicago, and Vela SuperFeed 500 Mb–1.25 Gb). The filing also shows the monthly recurring connectivity fees for listed feeds (for example, B3 Bovespa $3,000; Nasdaq Global Index Data Service (GIDS) $100) and states the Exchange is not changing those fees.
No Change to Existing Connectivity Fees
The Exchange says it is not changing any monthly recurring connectivity fees for third‑party systems or data feeds, and that Users will not be charged more as a result of the list changes. Purchase of colocation services remains voluntary and the Fee Schedule is applied uniformly to all Users.
Rule Change Effective Immediately — Check Now
The changes took effect immediately upon filing on March 25, 2025, so traders and firms using colocation services should check the updated Connectivity Fee Schedule and lists to confirm which systems and feeds are listed going forward. The SEC published the filing on April 4, 2025 and invited comments by April 25, 2025.
