Mandatory MLG Geometrical Inspections
If you own or operate the listed Airbus A300 models, you must perform a special detailed (geometrical) inspection of the main landing gear (MLG) rib 5 lower flange holes on both the left-hand and right-hand wings. The AD applies to Airbus Model A300 B4-2C, A300 B4-203, A300 B4-603, A300 B4-605R, A300 B4-622, A300 B4-622R, and A300 F4-605R airplanes.
Required Repair If Cracks Found
If inspections find cracking of the MLG support rib 5 lower flange on those Airbus A300 models, you must make repairs to address the unsafe condition. The AD was prompted by cracking caused by incorrect accomplishment of modification instructions and requires repair when necessary.
