One Extra Hour to Trade After-Hours
If you trade or invest, 24X extends its Post-Market Session by one hour so it now closes at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time instead of 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time. This extra hour to buy or sell NMS stocks will be available when 24X begins operations on September 29, 2025.
One-Hour Trading Pause Moved Later
24X preserves its one-hour Trading Pause but shifts the pause so it will run from 8:00 p.m. ET to 9:00 p.m. ET on Monday through Thursday nights that precede a U.S. Business Day. That hour will be a period with no trading on 24X.
NMS Stocks Still Tradable After-Hours
All NMS (national market system) stocks will continue to be eligible for trading during the revised Post-Market Session hours that end at 8:00 p.m. ET. The Exchange states this eligibility remains unchanged under the new hours.
After-Hours Risk Disclosures Continue
Broker-dealers (Members) must continue to give the required customer disclosures about the heightened risks of Pre-Market and Post-Market (extended hours) trading under Rule 3.21. Those disclosure obligations apply to the revised Post-Market Session hours that end at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Consolidated Quotes and Trades Available to 8pm
The Exchange will submit quotes and trades generated during the revised Post-Market Session to the Securities Information Processors (SIPs) for public dissemination, and the two SIP Plan Processors currently operate through 8:00 p.m. ET. Consolidated last sale and quotation information will be available through the extended Post-Market hours.
Rule Effective Upon Filing; Trading Starts
The Commission waived the 30-day operative delay and designated the proposed rule change operative upon filing (filed September 24, 2025), and 24X will begin trading on September 29, 2025 with the revised Post-Market hours. This makes the extended hours available immediately when 24X commences operations.
