National Fuel Gas filed on November 13, 2025 to abandon injection/withdrawal storage Well 4985 and part of well line VW4985 in the Belmouth Storage Field in Horton Township, Elk County, Pennsylvania because continued use is not feasible. The company says this change might affect local gas storage but won’t cost customers extra.

If no protest is filed within the allowed time or if a protest is filed and withdrawn within 30 days after that time, the proposed abandonment will be deemed authorized the day after the protest deadline.
