UL Can Certify SCIEE Robots
OSHA expanded UL LLC's recognition so UL may test and certify products to the UL 3300 standard for Service, Communication, Information, Education and Entertainment (SCIEE) Robots. This expansion becomes effective on December 31, 2025 and lets employers use UL-approved SCIEE robots to meet OSHA testing and certification requirements.
UL 3300 Added to NRTL Test Standards
OSHA is adding the UL 3300 test standard (SCIEE Robots) to the NRTL Program's List of Appropriate Test Standards effective December 31, 2025. This formally recognizes UL 3300 as an appropriate standard for NRTL testing and allows recognized NRTLs to use that standard when certifying products for OSHA-required third-party testing.
