TUV Can Certify Automated Mobile Platforms
If you are a business that makes or uses automated mobile platforms, TUV Rheinland of North America can now test and certify products to the UL 3100 standard (Automated Mobile Platforms). This expanded Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) recognition is effective March 11, 2026, and products approved by TUV can be used to meet OSHA standards that require third-party testing and certification.
Recognition Limited to OSHA-Mandated Tests
The expanded recognition for TUV Rheinland only covers equipment and materials for which OSHA standards require third-party testing and certification. If UL 3100 also covers products that OSHA does not require to be third-party tested, those products are not included in TUV's NRTL scope of recognition.
