Analyzed Economic Effects
5 provisions identified: 5 benefits, 0 costs, 0 mixed.
Liquid-cooled cabinets added in NY11-5
If you colocate with Nasdaq GEMX, the Exchange will offer Liquid-Cooled Cabinets in the NY11-5 expansion. Liquid cooling uses circulating chilled liquid to move heat and lets customers put more computing power in the same cabinet space; the Liquid-Cooled Cabinets are available only in NY11-5 and access is anticipated on or about April 3, 2026.
New high-power circuit options for NY11-5
Nasdaq GEMX will offer two new Phase 3 power circuit options only for Liquid-Cooled Cabinets in NY11-5: Phase 3 40 amp 415 volt and Phase 3 60 amp 415 volt. These higher-power circuits are limited to liquid-cooled cabinets because they exceed the threshold at which air cooling is practical (the filing references approximately 29-43 kW for higher-power options).
Customers may supply liquid cabinets
For the Liquid-Cooled Cabinet option in NY11-5, customers may either supply their own cabinets or choose Nasdaq-provided cabinets. This is different from traditional air-cooled cabinets, which must be Nasdaq-provided.
Orders allowed now; fees to be set later
Customers may place orders for Liquid-Cooled Cabinets in NY11-5 now, but they will not be charged until fees are established and the customer is given access for use (the Exchange expects to provide access on or about April 3, 2026). The Exchange will submit a fee filing to establish installation and ongoing monthly fees, which currently are listed as "TBD."
Optional, non-discriminatory offering
The Exchange states that the Liquid-Cooled Cabinet and related power options are optional and will be offered equally to all colocation customers on the same terms. Use of colocation services remains voluntary and any customer may order cabinets and power across the data center.
