Summary

The New York Stock Exchange is changing its price rules starting August 11, 2026. They’re tweaking the share amount needed to get free late D Orders at the market close and cleaning up some wording. This affects traders using these order types and could save or cost them money depending on their order size.

Free Late D Orders Threshold Raised

If you are a NYSE member organization that currently qualifies for free D Orders (including those with an ADV of at least 10,000 shares entered and executed by an affiliated Floor broker), the free monthly threshold for Late D Orders increases from the first 5,250,000 shares to the first 10,000,000 shares starting August 11, 2026. Volume above that threshold will continue to be charged at the existing rates (currently $0.0011 per share for certain adding ADV qualifiers and $0.0012 per share for others).
