Mandatory Logistics Service for LA Space Base
A Logistics Support Service is being added to the AbilityOne Procurement List as a mandatory purchase for the U.S. Air Force at Los Angeles Space Force Base in El Segundo, CA. The addition is effective April 26, 2026 to allow a May 1, 2026 start and names PRIDE Industries (Roseville, CA) as the authorized nonprofit source of supply; the Committee says this will create new jobs for people with significant disabilities.
Removal of Several AbilityOne Products
Several products are being deleted from the Procurement List effective May 9, 2026, including NSN 8470-01-303-8947 (Suspension--Assembly, GT/Parachutist), NSN 7510-01-484-1754 (Round-ring binder, camouflage), NSN 8110-01-437-4425 (Mailing Tube, 18" x 2"), and USB flash drives (NSNs 7045-01-568-4205 and 7045-01-568-4210) that had authorized sources such as South Texas Lighthouse for the Blind, Tarrant County Association for the Blind, and North Central Sight Services. The Committee determined these products are no longer suitable for Procurement List purchase and notes the action may result in authorizing other small entities to furnish the products to the Government.
