STIB Meeting Closed to Public

You cannot attend the Science, Technology, and Innovation Board meeting in person. The meeting is closed to the public May 12–14, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the RTS Operation Center‑Huntsville (ROC‑H), Huntsville, AL 35806 because discussions will involve classified material under 5 U.S.C. 552b(c)(1).

Interested persons may submit a written statement for consideration by the STIB by emailing the Designated Federal Officer at the address in the notice. Statements intended for consideration at this meeting must be received at least three days prior to the meeting (i.e., by May 9, 2026) to be considered at that meeting, and all submitted comments will be treated as public documents and made available for public inspection.

STIB Will Consider Test Site Designation

The STIB will assess the feasibility and advisability of designating the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile War Test Site and United States Army Garrison Kwajalein Atoll as facilities comprising the Major Range and Test Facility Base under the FY 2025 National Defense Authorization Act Section 245, and will deliberate and vote on findings and recommendations during the May 12–14, 2026 meeting.
