Cboe BZX Boosts Market Depth Feeds to Twelve Levels Immediately

Published Date: 4/14/2026

Notice

Summary

Cboe BZX Exchange is boosting its data feeds by showing 12 price levels on each side instead of just 5. This upgrade helps traders get a clearer picture of the market, making smarter moves faster. The change kicks in right away and could impact how much users pay for premium data access.

Analyzed Economic Effects

3 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 0 costs, 1 mixed.

BZX Summary Depth: 5 → 12 Levels

The BZX Summary Depth Data Feed will increase aggregated depth-of-book quotations from five (5) price levels per side to twelve (12) price levels per side. You (market data subscribers) will receive two-sided quotes and displayed size for up to 12 price levels per side once the change is in effect.

Cboe One Premium: Up to 48 Levels; 5-Level Sunset

The Cboe One Premium Data Feed will offer up to twelve (12) price levels per exchange (i.e., up to 48 levels total across four Cboe equities exchanges) and will run both the five (5) and twelve (12) level options for a limited period. The Exchange will sunset the five-level Cboe One Premium feed by December 31, 2026 (Exchange Notice to announce exact date and at least 60 days' notice), so subscribers who use the five-level feed must update systems to ingest the larger feed before that date.

No Fee Increase Intention Declared

The Exchange states it does not intend to increase the fees for the BZX Summary Depth Data Feed or the Cboe One Premium Data Feed as a result of adding the additional price levels. Both data products are distributed and purchased voluntarily, and subscribers may discontinue use at any time.
