2026-09038, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement: Disclosure of Greenhouse Gas Emissions (DFARS Case 2024-D021)

Starting May 7, 2026, the Department of Defense won’t make most new or nontraditional defense contractors share their greenhouse gas emissions info just to win a contract. They can only ask for this info if it’s really needed to check a voluntary claim tied directly to the contract. This change keeps things fair and cuts down on extra paperwork, with some exceptions allowed case-by-case.

2026-09067, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement: Mitigating Risks Related to Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (DFARS Case 2021-D011)

The Department of Defense is updating rules to make sure companies working with them reveal if they’re owned or controlled by foreign folks. This helps keep our defense safe from hidden foreign influence. If you’re a contractor or subcontractor, you’ll need to share ownership info and update it if things change—comments on this rule are open until July 6, 2026.

2025-20402, Updated Definition of “Waters of the United States”

The EPA and Army Corps are updating the rules that decide which waters are protected under the Clean Water Act, following a 2023 Supreme Court decision. This change helps everyone know exactly which waters are covered, making it easier to protect lakes, rivers, and wetlands while respecting state and tribal rights. People and businesses affected should share their thoughts by January 5, 2026, as this update could impact water projects and environmental protections.

2026-09609, Information Collection; Acquisition 360 Voluntary Survey

The government teams from OFPP, DoD, GSA, and NASA want to keep using the Acquisition 360 Voluntary Survey for three more years to help improve how they buy stuff. They’re asking people to share their thoughts by July 13, 2026, to make sure the survey is useful and not too much work. This won’t cost anyone money but helps make buying smarter and smoother.

2026-09483, Submission for OMB Review; Comment Request

The Pentagon Force Protection Agency is asking to keep using six forms that help check if people applying for law enforcement jobs are eligible. About 3,600 applicants and their references will fill out these forms, which take between 5 and 20 minutes each. Comments on this plan are open until June 12, 2026, and there’s no new cost involved—just a smooth extension to keep things running.

2026-09482, Proposed Collection; Comment Request

The Department of Defense wants your thoughts on a new form for their Child Development Program, which helps military families with child care. They’re checking if the form is useful, clear, and not too much work to fill out. If you have ideas or concerns, send them in by July 13, 2026—this helps keep things smooth and affordable for families.
