REAP NOFO Rescinded Immediately

The USDA rescinded the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) Notice of Funding Opportunity that was published on October 16, 2024 (for FY2025, FY2026, and FY2027). This rescission is effective immediately (published April 15, 2026) and applicants who previously submitted applications will be required to submit a new application and comply with the updated regulation once it is published; new application acceptance will be announced after the updated regulation is issued.

Fully Executed Agreements Remain Valid

If you already possess a fully executed Financial Assistance Agreement under REAP, the rescission does not require you to reapply and your agreement remains in effect. The rescission applies to applicants who do not possess a fully executed Financial Assistance Agreement and is effective immediately as announced April 15, 2026.
