New Class E Airspace at Glen Rose

The FAA proposes new Class E airspace at Rancho Hielo Brazos Airport, Glen Rose, TX, extending upward from 700 feet above the surface within a 6-mile radius of the airport. It also includes two 2.2-mile-wide corridors: one each side of the 006° bearing from the 6-mile radius to 8.4 miles north, and one each side of the 186° bearing from the 6-mile radius to 8.5 miles south. This change supports new instrument flight rules (IFR) procedures and mainly affects pilots and air traffic controllers.

No Significant Small-Business Costs

The FAA states this proposed rule will not have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities under the Regulatory Flexibility Act and that the anticipated impact is minimal. The agency says the proposal does not warrant preparation of a regulatory evaluation because the expected impact is so small.
