The USDA will establish 84 Secure Rural Schools Resource Advisory Committees (SRS RACs) to advise the Secretary on projects and funding under SRS Title II. Nominations for membership must be submitted or postmarked by May 25, 2026, and each committee's charter is set for two years unless the Secretary renews it.
Who Can Serve and How To Apply
Each SRS RAC will have 15 members approved by the Secretary who serve 4-year terms and the membership must be balanced across listed interest areas (labor, recreation, timber, environmental groups, elected officials, school officials, tribes, and the public). Members serve without compensation but may receive travel expenses and per diem; nominees must submit a 1–2 page qualifications summary, a resume, and a completed Form AD-755, and may self-nominate.
