Annual cigarette ingredient reporting
If you are a commercial cigarette manufacturer, packager, or importer, you must submit an annual list of all ingredients used in your cigarette products to HHS/CDC by March 31 each year. The list must use chemical names and Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) Registration Numbers; after CDC verifies a submission it issues a Certificate of Compliance. Submissions are accepted only by mail or fax (faxed lists must be followed by a mailed original).
