Cheboygan River Closed to Boats

All vessels and people may not enter the Cheboygan River safety zone from the Cheboygan Lock & Dam Complex (45°38'09.9" N, 84°28'47.6" W) to the Lincoln Bridge (45°38'01.9" N, 84°28'55.5" W) from May 18, 2026, through May 31, 2026. You must avoid this stretch of river during those dates unless you have specific authorization from the Captain of the Port.

Safety and Environment Protected During Repairs

The safety zone is in place to protect repair personnel, vessels, and the marine environment while the Cheboygan Lock & Dam safety cable and spillway gates are repaired. The protection applies for the same period, May 18, 2026, through May 31, 2026.
