Temporary Security Zone on Ohio River

You may not enter, transit, or anchor on the Ohio River between mile marker 461 and mile marker 473 from 12:01 a.m. on May 22, 2026 through 11:59 p.m. on May 25, 2026 unless you get permission from the Captain of the Port or a designated Coast Guard representative. The zone covers the entire width of the river and will only be enforced at times when visiting dignitaries and security personnel are present; the Coast Guard will broadcast exact enforcement times. To request permission, contact the Captain of the Port on VHF-FM channel 16 or by telephone at 1-800-253-7465; the rule states there will be no extra costs for the public.
