250‑Yard Security Zone in Apra Harbor

On August 27, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ChST, a temporary security zone will cover all navigable waters of the Philippine Sea in Apra Harbor in a moving circle with a 250-yard radius around each participating Coast Guard vessel. No vessel or person may enter that zone during that period unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Forces Micronesia/Sector Guam.

Enforcement Only When Protected Officials Present

The Coast Guard will only enforce this security zone when United States government officials or other persons under the protection of the Secret Service are present or are expected to be present. Enforcement for this rule is specified for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ChST on August 27, 2026.

Permission Required via VHF or Phone

To enter the security zone, you must obtain permission from the Captain of the Port (COTP) or the COTP's designated representative by contacting them on VHF‑FM channel 16 or by telephone at (671) 355-4824.
