Trade Panel Tweaks Vietnam Box Investigation Timeline

Published Date: 5/29/2026

Notice

Summary

The U.S. International Trade Commission updated the timeline for its final review of polypropylene corrugated boxes from Vietnam. This affects importers and manufacturers as the investigation looks into unfair pricing and government subsidies. Key deadlines have shifted, so businesses should stay alert for possible duties or changes starting August 2026.

Analyzed Economic Effects

5 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 3 costs, 1 mixed.

May 28, 2026 Comment Deadline

If you are a party in the investigation, supplemental party comments on Commerce's final antidumping determination for polypropylene corrugated boxes from Vietnam are due by 5:15 p.m. on May 28, 2026. These comments may address only Commerce's final determination, may not contain new factual information, and may not exceed five (5) pages.

June 15, 2026 Staff Report Timing

The Commission's supplemental staff report in the final phase will be placed in the nonpublic record on June 15, 2026, and a public version will be issued thereafter. Parties should plan to review the nonpublic report as of June 15, 2026 and the public report when released.

Limits on Additional Submissions

Additional written submissions to the Commission will not be accepted unless good cause is shown or the submission is made at the request of a Commissioner or Commission staff. If you plan further filings, expect the Commission to reject them unless one of these exceptions applies.

Service and Certificate of Service Requirement

Each document filed by a party must be served on all other parties and must include a timely-filed certificate of service; the Secretary will not accept a document for filing without that certificate. Parties must ensure service and the certificate accompany any filing to the Commission.

Electronic-Only Filings via EDIS

The Secretary's Office will accept only electronic filings through the Commission's Electronic Document Information System (EDIS) and will not accept in-person paper filings or paper copies of electronic filings until further notice. Parties must file through https://edis.usitc.gov.
