New Long LM-2 Form for Largest Unions

Starting July 1, 2026, the Department of Labor establishes a longer Form LM-2 Long Form for the largest labor organizations so those unions must report more detailed annual financial information. The change is part of this final rule and applies prospectively to labor organizations whose fiscal years begin on or after July 1, 2026.

Revised LM-2 for $350,000+ Unions

If your labor organization has $350,000 or more in annual receipts, the rule requires filing a revised Form LM-2 with more detailed disclosures beginning for fiscal years that start on or after July 1, 2026. The Department states this revision is intended to provide additional information to union members, the Department, and the public to promote financial integrity and transparency.

Updated LM-3/LM-4 Filing Thresholds

The rule updates reporting thresholds and makes parallel revisions to Form LM-3 and Form LM-4 to account for inflation and to promote financial integrity and transparency. These threshold and form changes apply prospectively to labor organizations whose fiscal years begin on or after July 1, 2026.
